This classic Mint Julep recipe is your perfect companion for Derby Day or any day you crave a refreshing cocktail. It combines fresh mint, sweet simple syrup, and rich Kentucky bourbon in a traditional blend that's easy to make and always impressive.
Muddle 6 mint leaves in the bottom of a glass with one tablespoon Simple Syrup.
Use your muddler to gently press down and twist the mint leaves several times.
Add ice to glass, and pour in bourbon.
Top with a sprig of mint. Serve and Enjoy!
Notes
Use a sturdy glass to avoid the glass from cracking or breaking when muddling your mint. I prefer using an old fashioned glass or mixing glass. I prefer using a wooden muddler.
