Rest Time 2 hours
Total Time 2 hours 10 minutes

Equipment

  • 16 1-Ounce or Larger Jello Shot Syringes
  • Medium Mixing Bowl
  • Stirring Utensil

Ingredients

  • 1 3- Ounce Box Strawberry Jello
  • 1 Cup Boiling Water
  • 1 Cup Chilled Vodka

Instructions

  • Add the jello and boiling water to a medium mixing bowl and stir until the jello is fully dissolved. This step is important, as you don’t want it to clog the syringes.
  • Add the vodka and stir again.
  • Suck the jello into the syringes. Fill it just past the 1-ounce point.
  • Turn the syringe upside down so that the tip is in the air. Give the syringe a flick so that the air bubbles go to the tip and then slowly press the plunger of the syringe until all the air has escaped and the jello is flush with the tip.
  • Place the end cap on the syringe and store them, cap down, in a cup or something similar.
  • Chill for 2 hours or until set. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can make these in advance and store them, with the caps on, in the fridge, for up to 4 days before serving. Do not freeze.
  • You can get larger syringes, but I promise you, syringes get huge as they get to 1-ounce and larger.
  • You want to keep the jello thin enough so that when it sets up, it won’t be super hard to squirt the shot into your mouth. If you want them even thinner than the recipe, you can add a bit more vodka, but be careful, or they won’t set up at all.
  • Don’t rest the tip of the syringes on the bottom of the bowl to fill them. You don’t want to end up with leftover jello gunk in there.
